Happy 1st Birthday, Luvik!

Dear Luvik,

Welcome to your first 365 days of life. We are most proud of what you have achieved in this short time. It's amazing how much joy you have brought to our life, your laughter and silly moments constantly delight us, bringing new happiness to our life.Reflecting back these 12 months have been for both you and us as we both grow to understand each other more everyday learning from every experience.

It all started with this day one year ago. Meeting for the first time after delivery, Mummy was feeling so cold and empty right after delivery you, but seeing you for the first time immediately brought joy and warm back to her heart.


Bring you home for the first time, was both frightening and exciting for your dad and mum, as daddy insisted on getting you to fully be on breast milk while your mum had not yet start producing any. This caused a lot of concern initially, but in the end the milk supply finally came and you had your first proper meal since your birth.


Soon the first month passed and you brought us new challenges with the eczema that affected your face. We search high and low for a cream that would help relieve you of your symptoms, and your mummy even wakes up every night, tears in her eyes, as she help wipe your face to help prevent more breakout.


In the 3rd month, you started showing signs of self expression as we learn how to amuse you with our constant Pee A Booing which you always rewards us in return with that signature smile and laughter of yours.

Came the 4th Month, we got you your first walker which allowed you a new sense of freedom as you slowly came to master the art of skidding around the house on your new set of wheels.


On the 5th Month, you had your first experience of flight as we brought you on a trip to Perth. You were such an Angel on board, delighting all the passengers and air stewardesses with your giggles and cute action.

Your 6th month came the realisation that you love music as you would sit quietly by your mum's side as she plays the piano. When your mum sang to you, you would often break out into cheers and laughter in excitement of hearing a tune.


Very quickly 7 months have passed and you are now on solid food, of which you totally enjoyed eating up to 3 bowls of porridge a day. You had started eating some solid food the month before but now you were starting to show more preference for porridge then being fed from the bottle.


On the 8th month you had your first bike ride in the front basket of your Grandpa's bicycle. Afraid that you may fall, we cycled in circles round Grandpa's garden instead.


Came the 9th month since you were born and finally you have started standing up. In this month you also won your first baby contest in which the MC called "The Little Emperor" because of the clothes your mum had chosen for you complete with a pigtail hat. You looked so cute in it and everyone who saw you that day could not help but stop and play with you.


You 10th Month was also the first time you celebrated the Lunar New Year. We spend the first few days of the holiday in Singapore before going to Malaysia for the remainder of the New Year.
This was also the month that you finally started crawling although you had the most peculiar way of crawling which unique to you.


For your 11th month your Mum had arrange to have you go for a studio photo shoot to capture that great joy of yours on celluloid. It was really fun as we all tried to make you laugh and cheer for the camera. Thanks Uncle Meng and Aunty Mevis for their professional skills. You are the best!

Finally you have crossed your 1st BIRTHDAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON..... MUM and DAD loves you lots lots. You had your first birthday Bash at Da Gu's place followed by another party held at our own house. Being your birthday, Aunty prepared red eggs for you as a Auspicious gesture meant to bring good health. Another milestone would be that you have been fully breastfed by Mummy for 1 whole year already and look how much you have grow in this time.
